The location right on the beach offered easy access to the serene waters, though Sandown itself felt somewhat faded with its decaying hotels. Upon arrival, I found the room spacious and impeccably clean, a vital aspect for any traveler. I was particularly intrigued by the hotel's culinary offerings. The restaurant exuded an inviting atmosphere. I decided to indulge in dinner at the on-site bar, where the presentation and flavors of the dishes mirrored my experiences diving in the Caribbean-with layers of freshness reminiscent of coral reefs. The evening entertainment added a lively touch, though I opted for a quiet night in. Breakfast presented an opportunity for further culinary exploration, but I was disappointed by the sausages. Despite this, the staff displayed remarkable friendliness, enhancing the overall dining experience. A notable mention goes to Flanagan's and the Beach Gardens café, both just a short walk away, offering charming alternatives for meals.
